{"id":7146,"date":"2021-04-09T11:58:27","date_gmt":"2021-04-09T18:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=7146"},"modified":"2021-04-09T11:58:27","modified_gmt":"2021-04-09T18:58:27","slug":"call-for-nominations-sumaila-volvo-graduate-prize-in-environmental-sustainability-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-7146","title":{"rendered":"Call for Nominations: Sumaila-Volvo Graduate Prize in Environmental Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Internal deadline April 23, 2021<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Please let me know about your intention of applying by Apr 16, 2021<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sumaila-Volvo Graduate Prize In Environmental Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A $3,850 prize has been made available through an endowment established by UBC faculty member Dr. Rashid Sumaila\u00a0upon being named the\u00a02017 Volvo Environment Prize laureate\u00a0for a Master\u2019s or Ph.D. student whose peer-reviewed publications to date are expected to have the most significant impact on the field of environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nominees must be registered in a UBC-Vancouver Master\u2019s or PhD program in the 2020W session<\/li>\n<li>Preference is given to students supervised by faculty members who are affiliated with the\u00a0Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries; the\u00a0Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability; or the\u00a0School of Public Policy and Global Affairs.
