Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada,\u00a0and international students are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier Scholarship, which is valued at $50,000 per year for up to three years.<\/p>\n<p>The application is completed online on ResearchNet:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca\/rnr16\/LoginServlet\">https:\/\/www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca\/rnr16\/LoginServlet<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UBC Vanier application deadline:\u00a0<strong>12 noon (PDT &#8211; Vancouver time) on Thursday, 2\u00a0September 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Graduate program nomination deadline:\u00a0<strong>4:00 pm PDT\u00a0on Tuesday, 21 September 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Given the continuing challenges related to COVID-19 and the difficulty of obtaining\/processing paper transcripts, it is recommended that applicants order official transcripts that can be sent electronically from their previous institutions to UBC, rather than by mail, where possible.<\/li>\n<li>Vanier CGS requires <strong>official <\/strong>transcripts &#8211; unofficial transcripts are not accepted for non-UBC transcripts.\u00a0 For details on transcript requrements, applicants are recommended to review our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/vanier-scholarship\">Vanier webpage<\/a><\/strong> (section &#8216; Application Procedures&#8217;).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, and nomination procedures, please visit our Vanier webpage:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/vanier-scholarship\">https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/vanier-scholarship<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Important note on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion<\/strong>:\u00a0 The Vanier CGS program encourages equity, diversity and inclusion, as part of the Tri-Agency\u2019s broader commitment to excellence in research and research training in Canada.
