{"id":7625,"date":"2021-08-25T09:50:52","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T16:50:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=7625"},"modified":"2021-08-25T09:50:52","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T16:50:52","slug":"nserc-info-session-for-doctoral-and-postdoctoral-applicants-aug-31-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-7625","title":{"rendered":"NSERC Info Session for doctoral and postdoctoral applicants: Aug 31, 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NSERC Information Session<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to announce that NSERC will be offering a Scholarships and Fellowships information session virtually on\u00a0<strong>Tuesday, August 31, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The schedule (in PDT) is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10:00 to 11:30\u00a0\u2013 Streaming of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PL6ox0GB7vXYlhaAY7mEqwmMqYK9TGCp1E\">NSERC informational videos<\/a> (PGS D, CGS D and PDF program information, PGS D, CGS D and PDF online system tutorial, and advice and tips for writing an application); no audience interaction would take place during this portion<\/li>\n<li>11:30 to 1:00\u00a0\u2013 Q&amp;A session for doctoral applicants and postdoctoral applicants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Details of the info session are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This session will focus solely on NSERC\u2019S\u00a0doctoral (CGS D\/PGS D)\u00a0and\u00a0postdoctoral (PDF)\u00a0programs. The Q&amp;A sessions will be delivered as a WebEx Event and will be supported by a series of informational videos. These videos are intended to completely replace the presentation portion of the NSERC sessions, allowing NSERC staff and applicants to engage in an in-depth and detailed Q&amp;A session.\u00a0 Participants should watch the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PL6ox0GB7vXYlhaAY7mEqwmMqYK9TGCp1E\">informational videos<\/a> in advance and come to the Q&amp;A session with specific questions in mind. Graduate program staff and advisors are welcome to participate.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested,\u00a0<strong>please\u00a0register <a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_03a8K4WlAyWh6nk\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.
