2021 Ivarson Agricultural Scholarships<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Application Deadline October 22, 2021<\/strong><\/h3>\n

These scholarships were created through a bequest from Dr. Karl C. Ivarson<\/a>. In establishing this award, Dr. Ivarson wished to support students from his home province of Alberta in their pursuit of studies in agricultural sciences. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, areas of study, community Involvement, career Interests and letters of recommendation.<\/p>\n

2021 Ivarson Agricultural Scholarships:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PhD Scholarship – 1 award of $17,000 <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Masters Scholarship – 1 award of $10,000<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Applications Accepted September 13 to October 22, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Application Deadline is October 22, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Detailed Application Guidelines and Forms available at www.CFFAE.ca<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Winners announced in December<\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Candidates must hold Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Candidates must be registered full-time in a masters or doctorate program in the area of agriculture or related discipline.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Candidates must be enrolled in their graduate program until at least one semester beyond the application deadline.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for subsequent awards.<\/p>\n

Candidates must be from the province of Alberta by meeting at least one<\/u> of the following criteria<\/strong>. (\u201cFrom the province of Alberta\u201d<\/em> is a qualifying criterion only and is not used as a scoring element in the selection of award recipients):<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An applicant with a permanent residence in Alberta, Canada for a minimum of 12 months prior to the application deadline.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A student studying agriculture or a related discipline at an Alberta university.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A graduate of an Alberta high school or post-secondary institution but studying at a non-Alberta institution.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An applicant born in Alberta.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Significant knowledge of and attachment to Alberta, as demonstrated through a series of short-term residences including some primary or secondary schooling in Alberta.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Other (explanation required).<\/p>\n
