Approximately 50 fellowship with values ranging from $175 to $16,000 are offered through this competition. Current and prospective full-time UBC-Vancouver graduate students can apply\u00a0regardless of citizenship or visa status.\u00a0Students who are eligible for the CGS-M must submit a CGS-M application in order to additionally be considered for Affiliated funding.<\/p>\n<p>Detailed Affiliated Fellowships-Master competition information with links to application and reference forms is\u00a0available at:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/affiliated-fellowships-masters-program\">https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/affiliated-fellowships-masters-program<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Tri-Agency Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master\u2019s (CGS-M)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants for Tri-Agency CGS-M competition must be\u00a0<strong>domestic students (Canadian citizen or PR)<\/strong>\u00a0who are applying for or enrolled in graduate studies anywhere in Canada. Each applicant can select\u00a0<strong>up to 3 universities<\/strong>\u00a0with the same application. To be considered for a CGS-M at UBC, they must select The University of British Columbia as one of the 3 available institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Details about this award opportunity, including eligibility and evaluation criteria, are available at:<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Students-Etudiants\/PG-CS\/CGSM-BESCM_eng.asp\">http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Students-Etudiants\/PG-CS\/CGSM-BESCM_eng.asp<\/a>\u00a0and our site at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/canada-graduate-scholarships-masters-cgs-m-program\">https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/canada-graduate-scholarships-masters-cgs-m-program<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who apply for CGS-M awards will automatically be considered for open\/un-restricted Affiliated Fellowships.<br \/>\n<strong>To be considered for criteria-based Affiliated Fellowships<\/strong>, students should fill out and submit to\u00a0their graduate programs the checklist available at: \u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/forms\/list-criteria-based-affiliated-fellowships\">https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/forms\/list-criteria-based-affiliated-fellowships<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>UBC Deadlines for the Tri-Agency CGS-M \/ Affiliated Fellowships Master\u2019s Competitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Applicant deadline:<\/strong><strong>1 December 2021 before\u00a05:00 pm PST<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Graduate program nomination deadline: \u00a0<strong>Late January (<\/strong><strong>nomination<\/strong><strong>\u00a0deadline will be indicated in December)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CGSM and Affiliated Fellowships-Master\u2019s information session<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interested applicants are invited to attend the CGSM information session on Friday,\u00a0<strong>October 22 from 10:30 to 12:00<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/about-us\/events\/21349-applying-scholarships-your-masters-program\">REGISTER HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What you can do now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Importance of the application deadline.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0CGS-M applications cannot be submitted or edited after the application deadline.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Late applications will be ruled ineligible.<\/strong>\u00a0The CGS-M application deadline is set nationally by the CGS-M funding agency and is not flexible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Please ask for reference letters early\u00a0<\/strong>and to send the instructions to your referees<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/ResearchPortal-PortailDeRecherche\/Instructions-Instructions\/CGSM_REF-BESCM_REF_eng.asp\">http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/ResearchPortal-PortailDeRecherche\/Instructions-Instructions\/CGSM_REF-BESCM_REF_eng.asp<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Check early if you have all of your official transcripts for all previous studies (including transfer credits).<\/strong>\u00a0Transcript guidance for applicants is outlined on our CGS-M webpage.<\/li>\n<li>Note that although the SISC academic history document is accepted for UBC CGS-M applications, it may not be accepted by other universities in Canada, so\u00a0<strong>students applying elsewhere for the CGSM in addition to UBC should order official UBC transcripts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It would help us greatly\u00a0if you are using the same email in your CGS-M Research Portal login as\u00a0in eVision\u00a0or SIS.
