Students develop hypotheses, perform a literature review, devise an experimental plan, and then execute experiments followed by data analyses.<\/p>\n<p>Each project is assigned a food science faculty member and graduate student who will help the students navigate the project\u2019s progress and deliverables. The course instructor as well as two laboratory technicians will also provide assistance throughout the course.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other TA positions, TAs will interact with a small group of students over the course of two terms, providing a <strong><u>unique opportunity for student mentorship<\/u><\/strong>. TA\u2019s will help guide students in scientific writing, presenting, experimental design, and executing research.
