{"id":8494,"date":"2022-07-05T11:33:45","date_gmt":"2022-07-05T18:33:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=8494"},"modified":"2022-07-05T11:33:45","modified_gmt":"2022-07-05T18:33:45","slug":"sumaila-volvo-graduate-prize-in-environmental-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-8494","title":{"rendered":"Sumaila-Volvo Graduate Prize In Environmental Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>INTERNAL Deadline _ July 15, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A $3,850 prize has been made available through an endowment established by UBC faculty member Dr. Rashid Sumaila\u00a0upon being named the\u00a02017 Volvo Environment Prize laureate\u00a0for a Master\u2019s or Ph.D. student whose peer-reviewed publications to date are expected to have the most significant impact on the field of environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nominees must have been registered in a UBC-Vancouver Master\u2019s or PhD program in the 2021W session<\/li>\n<li>Preference is given to students supervised by faculty members who are affiliated with the\u00a0Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries; the\u00a0Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability; or the\u00a0School of Public Policy and Global Affairs.
