In a typical class, there will be a combination of brief lectures, in-class activities, and discussions of the readings for the week, with an emphasis on using the readings to become familiar with the field of environmental sociology and to use that knowledge to connect to current events, cultural phenomena and questions about the nature of human-environment interactions.
