The application portals are now open and applicants may begin preparing their applications.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CIHR:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca\/rnetsso\/ssologin?language=en\">Online Application System<\/a>(<a href=\"https:\/\/cihr-irsc.gc.ca\/e\/38887.html\">application instructions<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>NSERC:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ebiz.nserc.ca\/nserc_web\/nserc_login_e.htm\">Online Application System<\/a>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/OnlineServices-ServicesEnLigne\/instructions\/201\/pgs-pdf_eng.asp\">application instructions<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>SSHRC:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webapps.nserc.ca\/SSHRC\/faces\/logon.jsp\">Online Application System<\/a>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/funding-financement\/instructions\/doctoral\/doctoral-eng.aspx\">application instructions<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NEW for 2022<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CIHR: The CIHR CGSD is now $35,000 stipend\/year<\/strong>.\u00a0 Previously, it was\u00a0$30,000 stipend\/year + $5,000 research allowance\/year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>NSERC: Transcripts are now uploaded by applicants themselves directly into their NSERC online application<\/strong>; university staff do not upload transcripts into the online application system on behalf of applicants.\u00a0 Previously, applicants selected a &#8220;university designate&#8221; staff member at UBC to upload their transcripts, but now applicants upload their own transcripts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For <strong>detailed application instructions, nomination, and adjudication procedures<\/strong> that are specific to UBC, please visit: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/canada-graduate-scholarships-doctoral-cgs-d-program\">https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/awards\/canada-graduate-scholarships-doctoral-cgs-d-program<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThe\u00a0UBC webpage includes guidance for applicants on transcripts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UBC Affiliated Fellowships \u2013 Doctoral competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0UBC Affiliated Fellowships doctoral competition\u00a0runs in concert with the university-adjudicated\u00a0Tri-Agency Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS-D) competition.<\/p>\n<p>Students who submit an NSERC, SSHRC, or CIHR doctoral award application are automatically considered for \u201cunrestricted\u201d Affiliated Fellowship awards and do not need to submit a separate Affiliated Fellowships application.
