The CEA is hosting a number of mentoring events this fall, aimed at graduate students on the job market this year or in the coming years.\u00a0 We hope to have a few focussed panels, Q&A sessions with job market candidates from previous years and those who have served on hiring committees.\u00a0 We are also planning workshops to help job market candidates perfect their 3-minute “elevator speech” about their research.<\/p>\n
Our first meeting will be held on October 12, at 8PM Eastern.\u00a0 This will be a casual Meet & Greet and information gathering session.\u00a0 We will provide a short overview of the job market and where to find resources, introduce the mentoring committee and gather information about issues and questions that attendees would like to explore further.<\/p>\n
