{"id":8757,"date":"2022-10-12T09:25:39","date_gmt":"2022-10-12T16:25:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=8757"},"modified":"2022-10-12T09:25:39","modified_gmt":"2022-10-12T16:25:39","slug":"call-for-applications-disaster-resilience-graduate-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-8757","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications: Disaster Resilience Graduate Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/files\/2022\/10\/Graduate-Fellowship-Poster.pdf\">Graduate Fellowship Poster<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/drrn.ubc.ca\/\">Disaster Resilience Research Network<\/a> (DRRN) is a new Research Excellence Cluster at UBC, which aims to advance multi-hazard assessment and mitigation in support of inclusive, equitable, and just disaster risk management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DRRN seeking two highly motivated UBC graduate students for its inaugural <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drrn.ubc.ca\/fellowship\">Disaster Resilience Graduate Fellowship<\/a><\/strong>. The fellows will support the DRRN by analyzing the state of disaster research in British Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Two graduate students will be selected: one from the sciences or applied sciences, and the other from the social sciences or humanities. They will work together to conduct a transdisciplinary literature review about disaster preparedness, response, and governance in British Columbia from a hybrid socio-technical perspective.
