While this is a slightly flexible deadline, forms should really be in by Friday this week, to avoid delays. It&#8217;s hard to get responses to our invitations once we get to mid-December.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, the other dates candidates need to meet are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRIDAY, 27\u00a0JANUARY, 2023 <\/strong>\u2013 Doctoral dissertation (and supporting documentation) submitted to Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for external examination<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRIDAY,\u00a024 MARCH, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 Last Day for Final Doctoral Oral Examination<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRIDAY, 21 APRIL,\u00a02023<\/strong> \u2013 Acceptance of final, approved doctoral dissertation by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Students who miss the Graduation Deadlines may still finish in time for the April 30, Program End date. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grad.ubc.ca\/current-students\/final-doctoral-exam\/doctoral-deadlines\">These dates are similar, but a little later<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Students will be able to choose to defend either in person or on Zoom. We will work with students to select the most appropriate mode for their defence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There is <strong>an information session for students about the Doctoral Exam process<\/strong> organized by Graduate Pathways to Success on <strong>Tuesday,\u00a0December 6\u00a0at 2pm<\/strong>.
