Water is Food. Leave no one behind.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event is the Official North America World Food Day 2023 event. All sessions are moderated by food and agriculture journalists. Dean Rickey Yada will be opening the session at 12:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>The goal for this event is to highlight stories of hope and success in relation to the theme: Water is life. Water is food. Leave no one behind.\u00a0We will explore historical roots and stories of change in British Columbia and beyond as we look to a more nourishing future from land to sea.<\/p>\n<p>Water is essential to life on Earth. It covers the majority of the Earth\u2019s surface, makes up over 50 percent of our bodies, produces our food, and supports our livelihoods.
