Animal Welfare Research – Volunteer Opportunity, 2013 Summer (FILLED)

*Update as of July 8, 2013: This position has been filled*

The UBC graduate program in Animal Welfare has a part-time volunteer research position for a student interested in learning about animal welfare/animal behaviour research. The student will be trained to view video of lying behaviour of goats and to record specific activities. The data collected will be used to validate an electronic data logger that also monitors the goats lying behaviour. This opportunity would be ideal for a student registered in APBI 398 this year (2013-2014), but anyone looking for volunteer experience in animal welfare research would be welcome!

Start date and hours of work are flexible. Total hours 20-25.

Location H.R. MacMillan Building, UBC Point Grey Campus.

If you are interested, pleases send your application letter, including contact information and availability between July 1 – September 1, 2013, to g_zobel@yahoo.ca as soon as possible.
