The Outside-In: International Photojournal is holding the annual photojournalism conference, “Global Crisis”, and print journal launch taking place on Thursday, March 16th from 3-6pm in the Multipurpose room at the Liu Institute for Global Issues.

The Conference will feature three professional and distinguished speakers:

  • Paul Watson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who has covered a number of conflicts around the world
  • Lara Rosenoff, an artist and academic whose work engages with intra-community conflict in Northern Uganda
  • Farah Nosh, an award-winning photographer who has worked in various war zones
Speakers will present their photographs and speak about their experience in crisis situations. The Conference will also serve as the launch of our annual print publication, showcasing a student work from the UBC community.
This is a great opportunity to learn about photojournalism, engage with international affairs, and interact with renowned journalists and academics. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
