Annelies Tjebbes\u2019 (BASc \u201912 ECE) passion for engineering\u00a0stems from her desire to solve challenging problems and discover technological ways to contribute to her global community. Throughout her education at UBC, Annelies was recognized for her commitment to Engineers without Borders and her outstanding academic achievements which launched her into her career path as a Biomedical Engineer with a social\u00a0conscience. Annelies currently works at StarFish Medical developing medical innovations, and in her spare time plays on a Division 1 soccer team, sits on the Board of Directors for Engineers Without Borders, and volunteers for the Tetra Society developing assistive devices for people living with disabilities.<\/p>\n
