Everyone is welcome so come if you are interested in being a part of the LFS|US next year (non-executive positions) or if you want to learn more about what your Undergrad Society does for you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEN:<\/strong> Monday, March 31st<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHERE:<\/strong> MCML 350 (3rd floor, beside LFS Student Services)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>TIME:<\/strong> 6pm\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Details of the positions can be found below:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Special Events Coordinator (Wednesday Night Dinner lead Coordinator):<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Responsible for working with their Wednesday Night Dinner committee to plan, organize, and execute the Wednesday night dinners. This includes ensuring a menu, shopping list and a list of assigned duties is prepared every week that a Wednesday night dinner is to be held.<br \/>\n\u2022 The lead WND coordinator will work with their assistant in September to create a WND<br \/>\ncommittee consisting of 5-6 members.<br \/>\n\u2022 Best to have Food Safe I &#8211; Supervise the preparing, cooking, and serving process &#8211; Make announcements before serving dinner (good way to promote events).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Special Events Coordinator (Wednesday Night Dinner Assistant Coordinator):<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Similar to the lead role, the assistant would be responsible for working with the WND lead\u00a0 coordinator and committee to ensure WND&#8217;s are properly prepared and held.<br \/>\n\u2022 In the circumstance that the lead coordinator is unable to complete their duties then this individual will become WND lead coordinator.<br \/>\nSpecial Events Coordinator (WND Volunteer Manager)<br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for coordinating non-LFS|US volunteers for Wednesday Night Dinners<br \/>\n\u2022 This individual will work closely with the Lead and Assistant Coordinators to ensure smooth running of WND.<br \/>\n**It is expected that Special Events Coordinators attend at least part of every WND to help prepare and serve the dinner.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Assistant Social coordinator:<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for assisting Social Coordinator to plan, promote and organize LFS|US social events including the Halloween Beer Garden, Community Dinner and Aggie Week events.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Athletic representative:<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Represent LFS students to UBC REC.<br \/>\n\u2022 Recruit and organize student teams to participate in various REC events including Storm the Wall, Longboat and Gladiator.<br \/>\n\u2022 Promote and plan athletic activities for LFS students and faculty.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Graduating year representatives (2 spots open):<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Represent graduating LFS students to the LFS|US. The graduation reps will plan the year-end grad dinner. They will also be responsible for organizing the graduation photos.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Social marketing coordinator (2 sports open):<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for the online presence of LFS|US including the LFS|US Twitter, Facebook\u00a0 account and Website (Word Press). Must be creative and enthusiastic in promoting all LFS|US endeavors.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Applied Biology Representative:<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Represent LFS students studying Applied Biology to the LFS|US. Responsible for liaising\u00a0 pertinent LFS|US information to the Applied Biology student by means of personal communication, classroom announcements and\/or emails.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Food, Nutrition, and Health Representative<\/span>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Represent LFS students studying FNH, Nutrition, or Food Market Analysis to the LFS|US. Ensure their voice is heard in all LFS|US meetings and decisions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Global Resources Systems Representative:<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 Represent LFS students studying GRS to the LFS|US.
