Abstracts due Feb 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The 2nd Faculty of Land and Food Systems Graduate Student Conference\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date: March 5th from 9AM-6PM<br \/>\nLocation: Liu Institute for Global Issues (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maps.ubc.ca\/PROD\/index_detail.php?show=y,n,n,n,n,y&amp;bldg2Search=n&amp;locat1=496&amp;locat2=#showMapCampus\" target=\"_blank\">6476 North West Marine Drive<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This conference is designed to celebrate LFS graduate student research! This one-day conference will allow students to showcase their research in an academic conference setting, and will include oral and poster presentations and competitions, a networking lunch, and an awards reception. <strong>Dr. Evan Fraser<\/strong>,\u00a0Professor of Geography at the University of Guelph and Tier I Canada Research Chair in Global Food Security, will kick off the conference with a plenary address.<\/p>\n<p>Any graduate student, undergraduate student, or post-doctoral fellow conducting research with an LFS faculty member is eligible to present.
