LFS awards Killam Teaching Prizes every second academic year to acknowledge outstanding contributions made by teaching faculty in LFS. Nominations may be made by students, alumni or faculty.<\/p>\n
Among the criteria taken into consideration are sustained teaching excellence, the ability to motivate students and stimulate critical thinking, and development of innovative approaches to teaching methodology and curricula.<\/p>\n
Nominations are made by a letter of nomination from students, alumni and\/or faculty and should be submitted to: Melanie Train melanie.train@ubc.ca<\/a><\/p>\n The nomination letter must include reasons for nominating this candidate, and one or more examples of her\/his excellent teaching practice.
