LFS|US and the Equity and Inclusion Office will be providing free apples and sticky notes for you (students) to write an appreciation note which you will then drop off at the educator&#8217;s desk with the apple.\u00a0We know that the more appreciated educators feel, the better the teaching tends to be, and students can play a huge role in fostering a positive learning environment and overall positive wellbeing for all.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Where: Martha Piper Plaza<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">When: Thursday, October 22nd from 10am-1pm\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">For Your Information: The tradition of students bringing an apple for their teacher has roots from the 17 or 18th century in Northern Europe or United States when poorer farmers would pay their children&#8217;s teachers with food &#8211; most notably with common and plentiful apples and potatoes.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Don\u2019t forget to hashtag\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/apples4educators\">#apples4educators<\/a>\u00a0on Facebook, Instagram &amp; Twitter to enter &amp; win an AMS Food Services Gift Certificate!<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The Land and Food Systems Undergraduate Society acknowledges the support of the Equity and Inclusion Office.
