Residence Life is proud to host the \u201cCan I Kiss You<\/b>\u201d program facilitated by Mike Domitrz on Thursday, October 22nd <\/sup>\u00a02015 at 6:30pm in the Totem Park Ballroom<\/b>. \u201cCan I Kiss You\u201d is an interactive and immerse one-person show that provides student with skills for addressing consent, bystander intervention, and supporting survivors of sexual assault.<\/p>\n

Mike Domitrz is a critically acclaimed author and one of the leading experts on teaching students about the positive impact on the many issues surrounding sexual assault and healthy intimacy. Mike\u2019s unique ability to connect with audiences of all ages and demographics results in presentations that are both entertaining and educational. Mike turns what is often labelled as a \u201csilent\u201d issue into an engaging and thought-provoking event. While most people simply \u201cmake their move\u201d on a date, Mike shows students why \u201cAsking First\u201d and getting consent makes all of the different. In addition, students discover how to \u201cbe a friend\u201d by appropriately intervening in potentially dangerous situations with their peers. In doing so, each student discovered how to properly provide support to survivors by \u201cOpening the Door\u201d for those they care about.<\/p>\n
