1. Practice using your rubric to assess the original sample paragraphs your group was given.  Assess and discuss the success of your rubric, and make any necessary changes.

2.  Switch sample paragraphs and rubrics with one other expert group in the class.  They will provide feedback, two stars and two wishes, for your rubric.  You will use the other group’s rubric to assess their writing mode sample paragraphs and provide feedback in the form of  two stars and two wishes as well.

3.   Switch back with the other expert group.  Review, discuss, and assess the feedback you were given.  Make any changes the group agrees are necessary.
