Edwards Award<\/strong><\/em> for lifetime achievement in writing for young adults goes to Susan Cooper (Dark is Rising series) **yippee**<\/li>\n<li>The <em><strong>Michael L. Prinz Award<\/strong><\/em> for YA literature goes to: \u201cWhere Things Come Back,\u201d written by John Corey Whaley, published by Atheneum Books for Young Readers, an<br \/>\nimprint of Simon &amp; Schuster Children\u2019s Publishing. Honor Books include: \u201cWhy We Broke Up,\u201d written by Daniel Handler, art by Maira Kalman and published by Little, Brown and Company, a division of Hachette Book Group; \u201cThe Returning,\u201d written by Christine Hinwood and published by Dial Books, an imprint of Penguin Group Young Readers Group USA; \u201cJasper Jones,\u201d written by Craig Silvey and published by Alfred A.
