His doctoral research explores the effectiveness of the Ottawa Convention banning anti-personnel landmines and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and is particularly concerned with questions of whether and how the treaties have succeeded in promoting widespread adherence to their central norms.\u00a0He has previously conducted field research in The Hague, Sarajevo, and Geneva in support of this research project.<\/p>\n<p>Adam\u2019s research is funded by fellowships from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (CGS Doctoral Award), and a joint award from the Simons Foundation and the International Security and Outreach Programme at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Canada.
