Sockeye Salmon
Role in Oil:I am sure conveyor belts are used to sort and weigh the product. The salmon is washed, gutted and sent into filleting machines for a perfect cut.
Delivery: I am unsure what company specifically distributed this salmon because I bought it fresh at my local supermarket. I do know that is BC salmon therefore it is a local product. The boats that the fishermen use play a large role in oil use for this product. To me this product doesn’t travel far before I get it onto my BBQ, however, Salmon is distributed all over the world. I was in Hawaii this past month and many of the restaurants I went to were serving BC salmon.

Packaging:The salmon I purchased was packaged in a clear plastic bag which is quite common. Sometimes Styrofoam boards and cardboard boxes are used for packaging.
