I am a scholar-practitioner based in Vancouver, Canada. I live and primarily work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the x\u02b7m\u0259\u03b8k\u02b7\u0259y\u0313\u0259m (Musqueam) people<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Academic work<\/h4>\n

I am a Research Associate<\/a> at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Centre for Migration Studies<\/a>. In this role, I advance interdisciplinary research on migration, support and develop training and teaching initiatives, and strengthen policy outreach with government and community partners. I also teach in the UBC Department of Educational Studies as a Sessional Lecturer<\/a>. I serve on the editorial board of Comparative and International Education \/ \u00c9ducation Compar\u00e9e et Internationale<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Practitioner work<\/h4>\n

I have been a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant<\/a>\u00a0in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants<\/a> since 2014.* <\/strong><\/span>Previously, I worked for over a decade as an International Student Advisor at UBC. I have also worked in various positions with immigrant-serving organizations and member associations in Canada and the US, including the former Cultural Orientation Resource Center<\/a> in Washington, DC and the Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of BC<\/a> (AMSSA).<\/p>\n
