Hi Everyone,
Linked below is my final project. I decided to design a research protocol to get participant UX feedback about the LMS we use at our organization. Like many other organizations, we had to quickly shift to online learning during the pandemic. This was a huge change for everyone as the organization has been using an in-person format for programs since 1991.
We have been using the LMS for just over three years now. We have shifted from the initial high-intensity-reactive-mode to a more sustainably-paced -reflective-mode where we have the time and capacity to refine the work that has been completed since 2020. This is the perfect time to get more detailed feedback about how our participants experience using the LMS and see where we have done well and where we can make some improvements.
To prepare for this project, I read several journal articles about UX LMS research. Often questionnaires or a mix of questionnaires and qualitative interviews are used in these type of research projects. For our purposes we will use a semi-structured interview process. We are keen to speak with participants and get more detailed information from them than what we could gain from a questionnaire.
I enjoyed this project because I had the opportunity to develop something that I can use in my work. It’s been great to involve my team and get their support. This research project has been added to our team workplan for 2024 and I will be the lead for the project. I’m really looking forward to speaking with our participants, hearing what they have to say about the LMS, and then sharing the results with my colleagues.
