To Jupiter \u2013 A Star That You Might Have Been<\/h3>\n

Such turbulence<\/p>\n

Such violence<\/p>\n

You resemble a star<\/p>\n

You were made a star<\/p>\n

But a star that couldn’t quite make it<\/p>\n

A star that might have been<\/p>\n

Is that the reason for your turbulence?<\/p>\n

Your Majesty<\/p>\n

Named after the Roman God you are<\/p>\n

The very King of the Roman gods<\/p>\n

Your nature is that of a god<\/p>\n

But you are substandard<\/p>\n

King of only the planets,<\/p>\n

not of our actual star<\/p>\n

Therefore you rage<\/p>\n

And rage and rage and rage<\/p>\n

for centuries, eons and ages<\/p>\n

An old rage<\/p>\n

In turmoil for 5 billion years<\/p>\n

A long time to rage<\/p>\n

And still raging<\/p>\n

Wildly uncontained<\/p>\n

For not amassing enough gases<\/p>\n

to light up like our sun<\/p>\n

A long time to complain<\/p>\n

You\u2019re certainly not one to mess with<\/p>\n

I know I wouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Your violent storms<\/p>\n

Such rage<\/p>\n

Unceasing violent winds<\/p>\n

Such violence<\/p>\n

You roar and whistle I hear<\/p>\n

What say you?<\/p>\n

Just what are you?<\/p>\n

Seemingly more serene than your raging neighbour<\/p>\n

But ah! You are guarded<\/p>\n

The very opposite to your outwardly angry \u2018son\u2019<\/p>\n

You do not reveal yourself at first sight<\/p>\n

You are a mystery to me<\/p>\n

Your mysterious rings shroud you in a veil of secrecy<\/p>\n

But a slightly lesser giant<\/p>\n

with your own turbulence,<\/p>\n

or is it?<\/p>\n

A different kind of rage<\/p>\n

Or is it even rage?<\/p>\n

What say you?<\/p>\n
