Goal: Interview members of the 367 writing class about their experiences writing, the benefits of placing themselves out of their academic element, their vulnerability discovered in the writing process, and how this course might help them in the future.
“Hi, I’m Sharmila. I’m going to be interviewing other teacher candidates in our writing class about their past experiences in writing, the vulnerability experienced in the writing process, and how going through that process as teachers can help us design our lesson plans for future students. Our first guest, Paul Treschow, has a background in Greek and Roman Literature and Languages and is looking to continue his academic career with a Masters in Theology and the Arts. Hi Paul, thank you so much for being here with us today.”
What were your experiences with creative writing before this course?
What experience did you have within the course (367) that put you outside of your comfort zone?
What did you learn in that moment of vulnerability?
How do you think understanding what it is to put yourself in a vulnerable space will help you create your lessons for students to put themselves in a similar vulnerable situations during a writing course?
