Defining a technical term to a broad audience was one of the first tasks in English 301. I chose the term “Algorithm” which any person in the computer science industry would be familiar with, but is not commonly used by outside of the industry. I learned a great deal about writing in a manner that caters to the targeted audience.
Proposal for Implementing Automated Testing
It was difficult at first to find a topic to do a formal research report on. In the end I chose to do a research paper on automated testing which is something I have worked on previously and am passionate about.
This was a complaint letter sent to a restaurant about their quality of service. Through this exercise I learned to write with a You attitude. I wrote the letter with consideration of the other party’s opinions while maintaining my own arguments and stance on the subject.
Formal Report Draft Peer Review
This was a peer review on a fellow group member’s formal report draft. The draft made up the core of the formal report, but was not polished up to be presented as a final copy. I took this into consideration when doing the peer review.
