From Tianya’s blog about “This is what a SUCCESSFUL Entrepreneur Needs to Do” ,we can see that she shows a good example that Mark Zuckerberg learns to speak mandarin to expend the market of Facebook .
This is a good example because Tianya combines it with the knowledge which we learned in class. Facebook is well-known all over the world but the Chinese government set up some regulations so that Facebook cannot be used in the mainland of China. This is the weakness of the company’s SWOT. To solve this problem, Zuckerberg wants to build a relationship with Chinese customers through learning mandarin.
Tianya also shows that Zuckerberg also made a speech in Tsinghua University to make a communication with young people, who are the main customer segments of Facebook. In this case, the CEO can catch the opportunity of marketing expansion to improve the company.
Therefore, Tianya’ s blog shows us that a successful entrepreneur should focus on the company’s issues and find the best solution to solve it even by himself. I believe this is an important reason that Facebook can make a big success today.
