Miami Power

I don’t know if anyone has heard but the Miami Heat have landed Chris Bosh and Lebron James to play alongside Dwayne Wade. They are predicted to win titles for the next 5 years and are the favorites in the betting line at 2-1. They are going to have a trio of arsenal on offense that will be hard to stop, if they can gel like a team, there is no doubt they are a dynasty in the making.

The team might be a legitimate contender for the championship but I am interested in how the city and the team is using this scenario to their advantage to generate revenue. Lebron James has developed a powerful fan base and his departure from Cleveland to Miami will generate a market shift.

UFC 120

UFC 120 is fast approaching in London, England. Ask any hardcore MMA fan and they will tell you that this fight card is average at best. However, the UFC manages to sell out the entire O2 arena on every occasion.

My question is; How does the UFC manage to sell out a card that is mediocre in England and yet, have tickets still selling for great fight cards here across the border.
