Husband and I
I am a recent graduate from the BCIT Technology Teacher Education Diploma program and am currently a UBC Bachelor of Education student. I will hopefully be a bonafide shop teacher by September 2016!
I grew up in Quesnel BC. A small town located almost in the middle of the province. However I have been living in Vancouver BC for about five years. My parents are both teachers so I grew up knowing what a wonderful career and lifestyle teaching can be. I got married almost two years ago to the handsome nerdy man of my dreams! (And BONUS he is also a teacher!) I love to travel and have been to many different countries. I foresee many more international adventures in my future. It would be fulfilling a dream to teach overseas so I am hoping that is on the horizon.
Having grown up essentially in the wilderness I have a love of outdoor adventures. Especially mountains…
And of cold snowy winters… in which sadly Vancouver BC is lacking.
It was during these cold snowy winters that I began to develop a crafty side (you need to find ways of entertaining yourself while snowed into the house). I taught myself how to play guitar and to knit and crochet, I love to bake and cook, candle making, leather work, and of course to use the ever-more increasing-valuable glue gun to create a plethora of crafts. (Have a peak in the photo gallery for some of my recent creations!)
