Final Project: Describing Communication Technologies

Introduction

This project explores the development of the word processor and its impact on writing, literacy, and educational practice. By tracing its historical roots, examining the communication needs that shaped its invention, and considering how it transformed reading and writing habits, the presentation highlights the reciprocal relationship between technology and human learning. I also include personal reflections from my experience learning Japanese, where digital text entry systems reshaped how I approached complex writing systems.
