I tried embedding it here, but no luck, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xtimeline.com\/timeline\/Pacific-Rim-Journey\">so here&#8217;s  the URL<\/a>:<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/www.xtimeline.com\/timeline\/Pacific-Rim-Journey<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vista.ubc.ca\/webct\/RelativeResourceManager?contentID=3469877783221\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Pilgrims in western China\" align=\"right\" \/>It loosely chronicles a trip I took nearly 30  years ago, and incorporates photos that I took during that trip (taken  with Kodachrome and Fujichrome, and recently scanned).<\/p>\n<p>I find myself somewhat disappointed with xtimeline, one of the  services recommended in our reading, although I&#8217;m not aware of anything  necessarily better (one possibility: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timetoast.com\/\">Timetoast<\/a>).  I find xtimeline does a poor job with the images, and the resulting  timeline is drab. But it works. (One complaint is that each photo  appears connected to the <em>next<\/em> event rather than the event that  it actually relates to.)<\/p>\n<p>BTW, in case you&#8217;re interested, I ponder the educational potential of  timelines (and gnash my teeth at xtimeline&#8217;s shortcomings) <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mccallumetec565a\/2010\/04\/02\/a-wrinkle-in-timelines\/\">in  my current blog posting<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Having done audio slideshows in the past, I opted to attempt a timeline for this activity.
