When you think about it, school is the biggest thing in peoples lives outside of family and work. Children live 7 hours of their day, 5 days of their week, 10 months of their year (minus Winter and Spring break), and at least 12 years of their youth inside a classroom. This is a significant amount of someone’s life. It would be horrible to have that time be unenjoyable.

Welcome to the blog/personal website of Doug McEachern, educator and adventure seeker. I teach Mathematics and and Social Studies at the high school level. My time outside of the classroom is spent hiking, climbing, paddling, and whatever other idea gets thrown my way. It is my mission to help students find the fun and adventure in education. Together, we will strive to edventure™ (yes, puns and dad jokes will be a part of the journey).
