Katarina Tabi is a Research Assistant at UBC in the mental health field.

She is a qualified MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) teacher, trained by the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts, Medical School. She is experienced in facilitating mindfulness classes and workshops and has taught internationally different communities including students, health-care professionals, youth and working professionals. Katarina is interested in a variety of interventions that lead to the cultivation of awareness. She seeks to understand these techniques through the perspective of both neuroscience and eastern traditions.
Katarina’s sessions are focused on different techniques for cultivating insight, either through quiet sits, awareness of body and breath, or through the mindful movement. Interactive and playful exercises will be incorporated to help to understand the basic concept of different practices. Talks or discussions on how to take the mindfulness practice from the cushion/mat into our daily life will also be a part the sessions.
