In the news today, one can find so many articles questioning the ethics of big business; however, the article I chose to blog about took a different approach. The Herald posted an article crediting Safelite AutoGlass for having the top business ethics in Ohio. The article claims that “Safelite AutoGlass® emphasizes a strong people focus as expressed through its People Pledge” and won the Torch Award for business ethics from the BBB. It’s People Pledge focuses on the leadership and well being of each of it’s employees, hiring the top talent, and providing a caring environment. Safelite is the largest vehicle glass repair shop in the U.S. and still manages to maintain it’s success while conducting itself above and beyond industry standards. This proves that businesses can be socially responsible, while still protecting their bottom line.
