{"id":424,"date":"2018-01-26T09:21:13","date_gmt":"2018-01-26T16:21:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mgrant\/?page_id=424"},"modified":"2018-01-26T09:26:17","modified_gmt":"2018-01-26T16:26:17","slug":"marys-auto-e-ography","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mgrant\/etec-533\/marys-auto-e-ography\/","title":{"rendered":"Mary&#8217;s auto e-ography"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growing up in the 70s and 80s had many new digital advancements, I guess I am dating myself! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was fortunate to experience many of them. <\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My walkman: Making mixed tapes!<\/span><\/li>\n<li>My Typewriter: Always making mistakes and needing to start over AGAIN!<\/li>\n<li>Beta Machine: Recording a movie, then accidentally recording over it! \ud83d\ude41<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the early 80s, my very first digital technology experience was when my brother and I got our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Intellivision\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Intellivsion II<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! It was a Christmas present and parents had my relatives from USA to ship it here to Canada! We were one of the first to have one!! We played it for hours!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-425\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mgrant\/files\/2018\/01\/images.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"176\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-426\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mgrant\/files\/2018\/01\/download-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today I am not a gamer and I have very few games on my iPad, but having something before anyone else still is a part of me. I am the \u201cgadget girl\u201d! I am the person in the family who always have the latest and greatest digital technology.
