Death of Cable TV

As the years go by, more and more hardships are created for cable TV providers. The ongoing trend of streaming everything you watch is a revolution. Products such as Roku, and services such as Hulu Plus, HBO GO, and many more have proven to be more efficient and cost effective compared to cable TV. As shown on the graph below, more and more people are unsubscribing to cable TV.

The only issue there was with streaming through your laptop was the cables needed to establish a connection between the laptop/computer and the TV and sound system. Apple came up AppleTV, but not everyone in the world uses apple products. The next big thing is Google’s ChromeCast.

ChromeCast is a wireless HDMI streaming device that can work with any device which has the Google Chrome web browser, and a few certain apps like YouTube. I think this is going to change how the world will watch TV. This device also gets rid of extra clutter (DVR,’ShowBox’) at your entertainment hub.

Post 1 – Ethics

Boeing

Boeing has taken initiative into developing a sustainable aviation fuel and the production process as well. I think this is very ethical and strategically smart step towards “Green Energy”  because aviation, according to Boeing, is responsible for 2% of the carbon emissions. This percentage will only grow due to the growing needs of mankind, as you can see from the graph below.

Boeing being one of the largest airplane producers has done our environment good. It also would have gained a lot of positive publicity. This would make airline companies want to buy their planes because ‘Going Green’ is crucial in today’s world in order to gain/increase their market share. This could be a deciding factor for airline companies to choose Boeing over Airbus, for instance Etihad Airlines is also cooperating with this initiative.
