Such areas include the eyelids and visual pathways. This specialist conducts full eye examinations, diagnoses eye diseases, prescribes medication and offers other treatment options (such as wearing an eye patch) for children and adults with eye diseases. Ophthalmologists also prescribe prescription glasses and contact lenses to their patients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"eye doctor\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/151\/349805514_ebfc46d519_m.jpg\" alt=\"eye doctor\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Figure 1.
