The usage of GIS taught me a trendamous amount of potenial in the field of Geography and how it can seamlessly expand as science improves. Before I learned anything about GIS, I had always find how cities develope was an interesting matter. The archhitect around us not only shapes our mood, but they reflect a image of narrative. When I imagine a place, and the first image that pops up in my head always has a strong impression, and for the first time I arrived in Canada. I remember seeing the first nation totems in the Vancouver International Airport (YVR). It brings to different vibes at different places, and upon finishing Geographical Science 270. I learned to be able to conduct project in a manner that I can be confident about. I realized there are numerous ways to go about working on a project, and the purpose can have so much meaning. For an example, maps of land use, potenial hazard, demographic, elections, and way more are so much fun to explore with. I now think I am equipped with better skills set to work from first step of purpose -> flow chart-> data layout -> data finding -> data extraction -> parsing data -> data mining -> data analysis -> arctools -> execution of map creating.
I believed hands-on work was the best way of learning and getting the knowledge into my head. I love lecture because it helps me bring my logic sense together, and I learned working alone can sometime be tough when problem arise. I was super suprised by the how data can be used in variety of situation and GIS is a process of representation skills including anaylsis. I learned data visuals can be highly important because the packaging is one of the crucial impressions to bringout your highlights of the maps. I would tell my friends that I learned a lot about assessment and data accuracy. The way of converting information into knowledge. I am studying GIS because I love the planning and developing the objects around our world to make earth a sustainable place.
