Hey there! While I’ll assume most of my readers know who I am, for friendly visitors of the page, I’d like to introduce you to myself. My name is Mira Hayre. I’m a business student from the Sauder School of Business studying Marketing and Global Supply Chain and Logistics Managements (GSCLM). That’s a mouth full eh?
Cool Mira, what’s this GSCLM thing?
The Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management (Global SCLM) option is a specialized joint exchange program between the UBC Sauder School of Business, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shenzhen (CUHK SZ). With increasing demand for graduates trained in supply chain and logistics management, the program leverages the strengths of all three institutions in this area (source). Fifteen students from each school are selected, creating a tri-continental business experience for fourty-five top students.
Okay, enough humble bragging Mira, tell me more about YOU and this BLOG
I started this blog as both a method to capture my experience abroad, but also to share it with close family and friends. As well, I’d love for for this to serve the future GSCLM cohorts who wish to know a bit more about the experiences abroad. Asia and Europe will be very different experiences and I want to document it all – the moments, the feelings, the experiences. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Okay, but what really though, who are you?
I guess time will tell. Some values that are close to my heart and shape who I am are honesty, work ethic, and family. That aside, I’m an easy going gal who loves dogs of all kinds, a good beer, and a new adventure. Was that too cliche?
