Technical Projects

Here are some of the technical projects I worked on in school and outside of school. Links to demos of the projects are provided below.

Swap’em (Academic-CPSC 410): I collaborated with a group of four to create an iOS app using React Native for the front-end and Parse for the back-end. Swap’em allows users to create different profiles and exchange contact information with users nearby. I worked to develop a means to allow users to upload and exchange profile pictures and some of the back-end functionality to retrieve contact information stored in Parse to display on the appropriate tabs.

Collaber (Startup Scums Hackathon Vancouver): Our team of four used React and Meteor to create a web app to help people that are working on small projects to assign and keep track of the status of various tasks. I designed and implemented the database to allow users to add, delete and update tasks.

Bear Boat Adventure (Bella Game Jam): I collaborated in a group of 5 at a weekend game jam with the goal of encouraging children with cystic fibrosis to perform breathing exercises through small and fun games. The boat’s distance moved according to the quality of the breath given.
I used Unity and c# to create beginning and instruction pages with buttons that lead to other scenes and fading in and out effects for smooth transitions between scenes.
