Today, we learned two tongue twisters and we will be doing challenges next class to see who can say them the fastest!

How much wood could woodchuck chuck, if woodchuck could chuck wood? If woodchuck could and would chuck wood, how much wood could and would woodchuck chuck? Woodchuck would chuck, he would, as much as he could, and chuck as much wood as any woodchuck would, if a woodchuck could and would chuck wood.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

We also learned about the 3 types of irony.

Vocab corrections

  • if you spelt a word wrong write it 10 times
  • if you got a word meaning wrong, write two complete sentences using that word

Today we did our spelling and vocab test and talked about using transitions in our writing.

Homework:

Please hand in the good copy of your paragraph.

For the good copy of your paragraph:

  • Indent the first line
  • Double spaced, write in pen or typed
  • If you choose to type it, please use size 12 font
  • Make sure your sentences are grammatically correct
  • Use transitions
