I report to Assoc. Prof. Emily Cranston<\/a> at the University of British Columbia as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Sustainable Nano Biocomposites Lab<\/a>. I currently hold a Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship determining whether we can use cluster-triggered autofluorescence to characterize microplastics. This is in conjunction with BC Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n I was president of the UBC Postdoctoral Association<\/a> for the 2021-22 academic year and\u00a0 was instrumental in organizing the postdoctoral finance survey recently released by the university.<\/p>\n Prior to joining UBC, I was a Research Associate in Materials Science in Prof. Stephen Eichhorn’s<\/a> group at the University of Bristol, UK. Funding for the position, as part of a national team on New enzymatically produced interpenetrating starch-cellulose gels<\/em>, was provided through the EPSRC (Grant Research Number: IUK 59000 442149).<\/p>\n I was awarded a 4 year EPSRC Doctoral Training Grant Studentship to join the Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies<\/a> at the University of Bath, UK.
