Solid Ground

Solid Ground — The influence for this photograph emerges from Andreas Gursky's "Prada, 1". I enjoyed the detached, frontal view of the Prada window and wanted to emulate that in a more natural setting. I also took inspiration from John Riddy's photograph "Maputo (Train)" and its clean, defined lines.

Old House, New Story

Stories About Ourselves — This photograph was strongly influenced by Takashi Homma's "Shonan International Village". I tried to emulate the detached, impersonal feeling Homma established in his photograph as well as the foreboding nature of his art.
