Celebrate Learning Week
In about one month, UBC will be having a very special event called “Celebrate Learning Week“. It is interesting that the Celebrate Learning week is not even a week. It is a 9-day celebration of learning on UBC campus. Our Department’s (Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the UBC Faculty of Education) mission is to provide local, national and international leadership in discipline specific and interdisciplinary approaches to learning and teaching. We are very excited to be among the Faculties and Departments who will be contributing to this event. My colleagues and I are working on setting up a special Family Science Day, where we will invite Greater Vancouver families and guests to share with us exciting science demonstrations and experiments and explore the links between science, mathematics, nutrition and physical exercise. The event will culminate with a Large Science Demonstration show. The event will take place in the home of the Faculty of Education: Scarfe Building.
