Probably not as often as I would love to, but often enough to enjoy a few amazing minutes listening to the most interesting speakers of our times. Today, I happened to listen to the talk by Kathryn Schulz titled &#8220;On Being Wrong&#8221;. As I was listening to her, I realized how much it resonated with me as a teacher. I started thinking how I feel when I am wrong &#8211; in the classroom, or outside of it while designing new courses, or while e-mailing my students or while learning new ideas and preparing for my classes. How does this feel to me? What do I do when I know I am wrong? Do I learn from being wrong? Who do I treat my students who might be wrong or who feel that they might be wrong. I have ample of these examples in a physics class&#8230; Do I leave myself or my students a chance of being wrong and acknowledging it without loosing my\/their face&#8230; I think every teacher should listen to Kathryn&#8217;s presentation and I also hope to read her book.
