I also wanted future elementary teachers to be engaged and see that they can and should be teaching math and science in an interactive inquiry-based way. I am so happy to let you know that Fourth Family Math &amp; Science Day took place @\u00a0UBC Faculty of Education on NOVEMBER 1, 2014 (10:00 am &#8211; 12:30 pm). It was a part of the UBC Celebrate Learning Week and it was a huge\u00a0success! (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.10153229334823362.1073742027.643353361&amp;type=1&amp;l=997476c088\" target=\"_blank\">See photos here<\/a>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/edcp.educ.ubc.ca\/community\/feature\/2012-ubc-faculty-education-mathematics-and-science-fair\" target=\"_blank\">Our previous\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/edcp.educ.ubc.ca\/community\/feature\/2012-ubc-faculty-education-mathematics-and-science-fair\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Ma<\/em>th and Science Days at UBC Faculty of Education<\/a>\u00a0have been successful. They attracted hundreds of children and their families and many volunteers\u00a0many of whom were teacher-candidates who came to share the love of mathematics and science with the larger community. However, t<\/em><em>his year&#8217;s event broke all the records &#8211; <span style=\"color: #008000;\">we had more than 400 guests and more than 80 volunteers.
